Notably, it starred the first playable female assassin in an “AC” game: Aveline de Grandpré, a woman of French and African heritage battling Templar forces in 1765 Louisiana. “Liberation” was originally launched as a PlayStation Vita title in October 2012. “Assassin's Creed Liberation HD” (360, PS3, PC rated Mature) is available for download this week, and that name might sound vaguely familiar.
